Designed to sooth & repair your gut! This blend utilizes digestive bitters and restorative botanicals to help fight symptoms of gut dysbiosis, leaky gut, IBS, and other GI conditions. This herbal blend aims to reduce belly bloating, smooth digestion, feed healthy gut bacteria, and repair the gut lining!
About the Herbs:
- Ginger has traditionally been used as a remedy for nausea and vomiting, cardiovascular health, joint and muscle health, and managing weight. Ginger is very mineral rich, containing high amounts of calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, phosphorous, manganese, iron, zinc, and copper. Today, studies show that ginger helps to modulate gut microbiota which can reduce inflammation, obesity, insulin resistance, and liver steatosis (fatty liver). In a 2018 study, researchers also found that ginger supplementation (1g/day) reduced symptoms of colitis in animal subjects.
- L-Glutamine is a naturally occurring amino acid in the body. However, there are instances where the body doesn’t produce enough L-Glutamine. People with stressful jobs as well as individuals who are recovering from serious illnesses can have this happen. This amino acid works by nourishing and supporting gut cell regeneration. Glutamine directly supports gut health and function in three key aspects: 1) it has a positive impact on sustaining the balance of the gut microbiome, 2) it increases the expression of tight junction proteins and the integrity of the intestinal lining, and 3) it helps to minimize the inflammatory response.
- Marshmallow Root is a highly effective anti-inflammatory herb that has traditionally been used to treat tonsilitis, bronchitis, UTI's, respiratory infections, coughs, and colds. It is utilized in this GI Support blend because of its benefits for the gut lining, preventing leaky gut syndrome. Research also shows that marshmallow root coats the inside of the stomach and prevents acid from causing discomfort and “burning". Along with this, it comes with a handful of digestive benefits!
- Dandelion Root is highly nutrient dense. In fact, it is one of the highest containing plants of beta-carotene! It is low in calories and high in fiber, antioxidants, Vitamin K, and Vitamin C. Dandelion has been widely used in traditional medicines tracing all the way back to 659 B.C. Traditionally, it has been used to cure digestive dysfunction, relieve pain, and heal the liver. Today, studies show that dandelion root can aid in killing cancer cells, cleansing the liver, reducing cholesterol, promoting skin health, fighting bacterial infections, and strengthening bones.
- Licorice Root is widely utilized for its benefits on gut health! One study in 2016 showed that regular use of licorice root helped eliminate a bad gut bacteria called H. pylori, which can cause peptic ulcers. Tied to systemic health issues, leaky gut syndrome can be difficult to tackle. As an anti-inflammatory and demulcent (soothing) herb, licorice root works as a natural remedy for ulcers and can be a beneficial leaky gut supplement. It is also an adaptogen, meaning it will help promote homeostasis and help the body adapt to stress in a healthy way by regulating the stress hormones (like cortisol) in the body.
- Aloe Leaf has many beneficial effects on the gut including: replacing mucosal lining that's been damaged by inflammation due to leaky gut, mitigating unhealthy bacteria, boosting beneficial bacteria, and providing a wide range of nutrients and antioxidants. It may also help people with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and other inflammatory disorders of the intestines. One 2013 study of 33 IBS patients found that aloe vera juice helped reduce the pain and discomfort of IBS.
- Fennel is an effective aid to digestion. It can help the smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal system to relax and reduce gas, bloating, constipation, and stomach cramps. It is also highly anti-inflammatory, meaning it may help soothe swelling or irritation in the intestines and improve digestion. Fennel also serves as a prebiotic and keeps bowels regular!
- Orange Peel has been widely used in TCM for mild indigestion, nausea, and constipation. It has also been used in other traditional medicines as a bitter tonic, which is known for stimulating appetite and helping to support bile production and release digestive enzymes & stomach acid, ultimately helping the digestive process. Orange peel is also known for its highly effective lung cleansing effects! It has a high amount of histamine reducing compounds which are effective at providing support for problematic respiratory indications.

GI Support Tincture
Dosage: 20-60 drops 3-4 times a day. For best absorption, use under the tongue. Because this is alcohol base, it may be too harsh for under the tongue application. In that case, add to a small glass of water or juice.
**Temporary use, not intended for everyday use. After 4-6 weeks, discontinue or take a break. Licorice root supplements are only intended for short-term use. Consuming licorice daily for several weeks or longer can cause severe and potentially life-threatening side effects.
